Born, Tuesday, November 21, 1933 in Norphlet, AR to Henry Franklin McGuyer and Ila Vashti McGuyer. Survived by his Wife of 60 years - Evelyn Ann Norman McGuyer; three Sons - Jackie Thomas McGuyer, Jr., Frank Adams McGuyer (Vicki), and Michael Perry McGuyer. Grandchildren - Madison Kelly McGuyer, Whitney McGuyer and Jackie T McGuyer III. GreatGrandchildren - Slater Payne L’Hommedieu and Thomas Owen McGuyer In his early years, Mr. McGuyer would help his father in the Phillips 66 oil fields. After graduating from High School in 1951, he attended University of Southwestern Lafayette, graduating in 1955 with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He met his wife, Evelyn Ann Norman and was married on May 31, 1956 at the Broadmoor United Methodist Church in Shreveport, La. In 1956 Mr. McGuyer had the opportunity to join Brown & Root in Houston. In 1957, he moved to Covington, La and started work at Prestressed Concrete & Products Co. for 27 years. He not only took pride in his work, but truly relished the friends he made during his time at Prestressed. He later worked for the State of Louisiana for 10 years and retired. Over the years, his was a member of the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and very active in the United Methodist Church of Covington, where he sang in the Choir. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 9:00 AM to service time. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Methodist Church, 203 N. Jefferson Ave., Covington, LA 70433, at which he was a member for over 50 years. ===================
