Phyllis Clade Merkle, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016.

Mother of Allyson Parma(Andy), Erik Merkle(Lisa) and Brendan Merkle.
Daughter of Dorothy Patrolia Clade and the late Joseph Clade.
Sister of Dottie Matherne(Yancy,Sr).

Also survived by 7 grandchildren, Sophia, Giuliana Parma, Adam, Alexander, Abby Merkle, Isabella Merkle, Gavin Culpepper, two nieces, Amanda Erwin, Meghan Matherne, a nephew, Yancy Matherne, Jr., a great nephew, Brodie Erwin.

A native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1998.

She was an employee at Slidell Memorial Hospital as a Radiological Technician and was a former employee at Charity Hospital in New Orleans for 29 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial
Mass at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation on Thursday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans and all are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donation gifts can be given to SMH Regional Cancer Center in support of breast cancer programs & services (checks payable to SMH Foundation, Phyllis Merkle in the memo)
