She was 77 years old. Beloved wife of J. Riley Lee, Jr., and by the first marriage to the late Richard H. “Dick” Merry. Mother of Lisa Merry Ryan(Michael), Janine Merry Solari (Jeffrey), and Steven Merry (Linda). Sister of Jeanie Matthieu Barch, Brett B. Matthieu and the late Fred Deckard. Nana to Ryan, Ben, Crystal, Morgan-Louise, Madelyn, Kalen and Kiley-Grace. A native of Port Arthur, TX., and a resident of Slidell since 1972. She was a graduate of the first class of West Jefferson High School in 1956. Lois worked for many years as a legal secretary before retiring in 1990. She was a longtime member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing both with her church choir and the Sweet Adelines. Through the years, she served in multiple capacities of Slidell Little Theatre and Krewe de la Boutte Dominique. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Nancy Wofford, officiating. Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Saturday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
