Paul Gillery Lightell passed away on Thursday, June 09, 2016 at his home in 
Covington, LA. 
He was born on Saturday, April 02, 1927 in New Orleans, LA to the late Jacque 
“Jack” and Edna Lightell.

Paul was married to his beloved wife, Ava Jean Gillespie Lightell for over 60 
years and together they had four children Janet Lightell (Gary), Ronald 
Lightell (Tara), Sandra Kruse (Jack), and Stephen Lightell (Dana). He also 
leaves behind ten grandchildren Kyle, Chelsey, Konnor, Kali, Finley, Farrah, 
Emery, Brennan, Briea, and Kylie; and one great-grandchild Kenzie. Paul was the 
brother of Eunice Blanchard, Harold Lightell, and Rudolph Lightell.

Relatives and close friends are invited to attend a private memorial service on 
Friday, June 17, 2016 at Bible Believers Baptist Church 2220 Transcontinental 
Dr, Metairie, LA 70001 at 6:00 PM.
