Beloved wife of the late Sidney William Campbell, Jr. Loving mother of Grant Campbell (Cindi), Sydney Jean Campbell Petrosky (Michael) and the late Kent Campbell ( April). Daughter of the late Edna May Richardson Grant and James Toliver Grant. Sister of the late Jimmy Grant. Also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren with two on the way Jeanette was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and came to New Orleans at the age of seventeen to attend Touro School of Nursing but married the love of her life and worked along side her husband in S. W. Campbell & Sons Roofing Co, Campbell Building Material and Campbell Cabinets. She was very active in Harahan Christian Church and loved playing her banjo when they visited nursing homes. She moved to Lake Ramsey in Covington where she enjoyed her ducks and the sunsets. She mentored students in reading at Lyon Elementary School. She was a member of the Gaylords Carnival Club, enjoyed all things Mardi Gras and was an amazing hostess at her famous yard parties. She had the pleasure of traveling the world, but was happiest on her deck on "her lake." Jeanette was such a loving, caring mother, grandmother and friend. She brought sunshine to a room and always had a smile on her face. She never met a stranger and was truly a gracious southern belle. The family would like to thank her devoted caretakers Natalie Hollingsworth, Reneather Settles and Kimberly Chafteen. You all were so much more than caretakers by the love and concern you showed mom and the entire family. We would have been lost without you. She loved you all so much and you made such a difference in her life. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Mrs. Campbell’s life at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 3:00 PM with a gathering on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 PM.
