Born, Monday, May 17, 1937 in New Orleans, LA to George Byron Fields and Elmira Catherine Fields. Survived by his Wife of 49.5 years - Alvoria Perrier Fields, Sons - Jerry Fields, Jr. (Pippa), Dwayne R. Fields (Tori), Kevin R. Fields (Eveyln), and Christopher Fields, Grandchildren – Moriah B. Fields, Kevin J. Fields II, Jordan E. Fields, Autumn E. Fields and Gabriel L Fields, Sisters - Elaine Lacy, Ruby Johnson, and Patricia Thomas. Also survived by many beloved Sister-in- laws, Brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church members. He was predeceased by his Father - George Byron Fields, Mother - Elmira Catherine Bickham, Brothers - George Fields, and Joseph Thomas. Jerry graduated from McDonough 35 High School Class of 1955 and attended Delgado Community College-Art Major. He was a retired bus driver for the Regional Transit Authority for 31 years. He served as an Usher for St. Leo the Great Catholic Church for several years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 9:00 AM to service time. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
