Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2016/st1607.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Andrew Joseph Lambert, 87, a longtime resident of Algiers, and a resident of Pearl River, LA, for the past few years, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016, in Lacombe, Louisiana. Beloved Husband of Catherine Serio Lambert by second marriage, and the late Betty Frederick Lambert by first marriage; Father of the late Ronald John Lambert; Son of the late Harris Lambert and the late Sadie Ledet Lambert; Brother of the late Ronald Lambert and Russell Lambert; Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Lambert was born in Houma, Louisiana, and lived most of his adult life in Algiers. Andrew retired from the New Orleans Fire Dept, where he served in the Fire Prevention Division as Inspector, Investigator, and Architectural Plan Examiner. In World War II he served in the Merchant Marine and the United States Marine Corp. After his first wife died in Hurricane Katrina, he moved to Pearl River, Louisiana. He married Catherine, who reintroduced him to his Catholic Faith, which he loved so dearly. Andrew was a proud member of the Antonians of Sts Peter and Paul Catholci Church. He also served as Co-Cordinator, with his wife Catherine to Grand Adults of Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday evening, July 26, 2016, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 66192 St. Mary Drive, in Pearl River, Louisiana. Visitation will resume at the church on Wednesday beginning at 9:00am. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the church at 11:30am. Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preffered. ===================
