Andre Mabeleen Copeland slipped away quietly in her home on Friday, August 19, 
2016 to be with the Lord in glory. 

She is 81 years young and was predeceased in death by her parents Andrew and 
Annie Moody of Grange Arkansas. 

Andre is survived by her husband of 61 years, Herschel Copeland of Pearl River, 
LA. Three sons, Andy Copeland of Carrier, MS., Alan Copeland of Bay St. Louis, 
MS., Brian Copeland of Grapevine, TX., and a foster daughter Elizabeth Vance of 
Fayetteville, TN. 
She is blessed with nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-
great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. 

Andre is a long term resident of Charter Oak/ Evans Creek Community, she was a 
member of Evans Creek Southern Baptist church where she taught a children’s 
bible class for 47 years, she was also a member of the church choir. 
She was a 1952 graduate of Cave City High School in Cave City, AR. She attended 
Southern Eastern University for two years. 
Andre is a former employee of Slidell Industries, the Boeing company’s where 
she worked on NASA’s Saturn Five rocket program, Martin Marietta, and Lockheed 
Martin on the space shuttle program at Michoud. 

On retirement she and her husband toured the United States and Canada on a Gold 
Wing motorcycle for five years. Andre loved her church and enjoyed watching the 
game of golf. 

She will be waked at Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy 41, Pearl River, 
Louisiana 70452 on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 with visitation from 12:00pm to 
2:00pm with funeral services at 2:00pm. 
Services officiated by Dr. Reggie Ogea and Dr. Jerry Barlow. 

Interment will be at Evans Creek Cemetery on Highway 41.
