He was born on October 22, 1959 in Milwaukee, WI to Patrick and MaryAnn Dillon. John was adopted, raised and treasured by his parents Vincent and Pearl Dentice. John was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Sandrae Steglich Dentice. He is survived by his brothers Salvatore “Teddy” Dillon and Thomas Dillon (Andrea), and his sisters Gina Weiser (John) and Michelle Dillon. John was the cherished uncle of Rae Lynn, Rebecca, Josephine, Ryan, and Corey. He was the great-uncle of Reagan. John is also survived by his multiple godchildren. John is also survived by his partner, Marc (Frank) Vanderstappen, who took loving care of him, especially over the past few months of his illness. John was previously very active in multiple organizations, including the South Milwaukee Yacht Club, and Roma Lodge in Racine Wisconsin where he organized many social events, including the Bella Ball. John was proud to be the manager at the Goodwill Store in Slidell, LA. John will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all individuals that were lucky to have met him. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at St Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd, St. Benedict, LA 70457 on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM. A wake will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a vigil service at 7:30 pm. Visitation on Friday will be at the funeral home from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM followed by Mass at The Abbey. A celebration of John’s life will also be held in Wisconsin at a future date to be determined. ===================
