Beloved Wife of Richard Hecht; Loving mother of James Hecht, William Hecht, Thomas Hecht, Daniel Hecht, Susan Hecht Douglas, Mary Hecht Robertson, Charles Hecht, and John Hecht; Daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret Lottes; Sister of Robert Lottes, Geraldine Connors, Philip Lottes, and Sandra Prince; Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Betty graduated from Madison East High School and worked as a bank teller before her marriage. Before settling in Slidell, Dick and Betty enjoyed life and family in Mississippi, Massachucetts, Connecticut, Maryland and a brief excursion in the Bahamas. Betty is known for her dedication to family, her love of meeting new people during cross country road trips (RV’ing), her beautiful eyes and smile and her resilient plastic flower gardens! May Betty Rest in Peace. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the viewing and funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd, Slidell, LA, on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M with viewing and visitation beginning at 10:00am. Reception following the services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at CFF.org, in memory of her dear niece, Linda Connors. Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery ===================
