Robert Peter Sander, Jr., age 88 of Covington, LA died on Sunday, August 28, 
2016, at Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson, LA. 
Born, Sunday, November 06, 1927 in New Orleans, LA to Robert Sander, Sr. and 
Lucette Sander.

Survived by his wife of 63 years - Julia Schlenker Sander and numerous nieces 
and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, sister - Gail Lemane, and brother - Donald 
Sander.

Mr. Sander was a WWII Veteran having served in the US Army. He was a Salesman 
and Draftsman for 40 years for of Poole Lumber Co. of Covington. Past District 
Commander of the American Legion. He was also a Taxidermist and loved to fish.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM on 
Saturday, September 03, 2016 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st 
Avenue Covington, LA 70433.

Visitation on Saturday, September 03, 2016 from 12:30 PM to service time.

Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Robert H. Burns American 
Legion Post 16, 2031 Ronald Reagan Hwy., Covington, LA 70433.
