Beloved husband of Marilynne Arrigo Vandenborre the past 63 years . Father of Dudley Vandenborre(Kim) and Debra M. Vandenborre. Son of the late Henry P. Vandenborre and Bessie Sanders Vandenborre. Brother of Henri P. Vandenborre, the late Rollie Robert Vandenborre and Cpl. Elroy John Vandenborre. Also survived by his grandchildren, Antoinette Wolfe(Kevin), Renee Turner(Terry), Jennifer Gusman(Gary), Jesse Vandenborre(Dawnelle), Jamie O’Brien(Thomas), his great grandchildren, Natalie Wolfe, Sophia Wolfe, Samuel Wolfe, Christopher Blevins, Andersen Blevins, Cyril Gusman, Anthony Gusman and Jace Vandenborre. He was a Jockey for 20 years, mostly riding in Michigan, Illinois and Louisiana and a Pari Mutual Clerk for many years. He was a member of the IBEW Local 134, Chicago, Ill. He loved to dance, fish, throw the cast net, cared for animals and plants, but especially loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Egan Home Health Care team. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will be private. Visitation on Thursday after 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.
