Beloved husband of Linda Hingle Wineski. Loving father of Gerald Wineski, Jr., Damie Wineski Kennedy (Frank), Felicia Wineski Poche (Sean), Leigh Ann Wineski Fischer (Randy). Son of the late Claire Suprean Wineski and Louis Paul Wineski, Sr. Brother of the late Louis Paul Wineski, Jr. Grandfather of Courtney, Gerald, Ashley, Mason, Camryn, Haleigh, and Casey. Gerald was a native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime and active resident of Orleans Parish. As a child Gerald was a member of the New Orleans Recreation District, playing baseball and football at Bunny Field Playground. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School Class of ’59. After graduating high school Gerald joined the Navy where he was chosen to be a part of the surveillance mission prior to the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1962. Upon returning from his military duties, Gerald worked in the family business for several years. But the Civil District Court of Orleans Parish is where Gerald found his home and retired after 25 years of public service. He was a dedicated and loving father and friend to many. His love, kindness and passion for life will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA 70448 on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM with a reception immediately following at the home of Linda Wineski, 117 Marigny Ave, Mandeville, LA.
