He was born in New Orleans and was a life long resident of Slidell. He attended Slidell High School and graduated from East Jefferson High School. He also attended LSU. He was the owner of Slidell Glass for more than 20 years. He is survived by his wife Dana Sentell Ducote, two daughters Stacey Sentell Ribando and Lindsay Sentell Smith (Joshua Smith). Grandchildren Michael and Alexander Ribando and Benjamin and Miley Smith. His father Richard Ducote, Sr. Two sisters Debby Ducote and Joni Ducote Likens (Greg Likens) and one brother Lance Ducote. Cuz Bryan Bradley and Keith Faucheux and his beloved Chippy. And a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nephews and many dear friends. He precedes in death by his mother, June Bradley Knight, his stepfather James Knight. His son Ricky Sentell. His two brothers Glen Ducote and Johnny Ducote. His beloved grandmothers Granny and Gaghen. “When you see the Southern Cross for the first time turn over the horizon, look closely and there you will find Richard” Services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11:00am at Journey Fellowship Church on Dixie Ranch Road in Slidell , Louisiana. A celebration of his life will be held immediately following at Slidell Glass. ===================
