Devant Kennedy “Kenny” Farmer III, an engineer with Chevron, passed away 
surrounded by his friends and family on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the age 
of 60. 

Loving husband of Amelia Tucker “Millie” Farmer. Beloved father of Amelia 
Farmer Reaves (Gaven) and Spencer Kennedy Farmer (Corinne). Son of Betty Jo 
Farmer and James Ray Farmer. Grandfather of Margaret “Maggie” Farmer, Amelia 
“Amie” Reaves, Ann Riess Reaves and Collins Farmer. Brother of Jimmy Farmer 
(LaDale), Suzie Reckert (Tom) and Ricky Farmer. Son-in-law of Amelia Tucker and 
the late Odie Tucker. Brother-in-law of Odie and Amy Tucker, Bert and Me’Me’ 
Wilson, Wally and Martha Scott, Ben and Mary Tucker and Darrin and Meg St. 
Amant. 
Also survived by his longtime friend, Tom and Lucy Dwyer and numerous nieces 
and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at St. Timothy 
United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Dr., Mandeville, LA 70448 on Monday, 
September 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation at church on Monday beginning at 
9:30 AM. 

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Farmer to be 
made to MD Anderson Cancer Center www.mdanderson.org. 

E.J. Fielding Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
