Born to the late James H. Dawsey and the late Linnie Smith Dawsey of Puckett, MS, Billie graduated from Puckett High School in 1943. During World War II she met and married the love of her life, the late Warren B. Kempff, a Sergeant in what was then the Army Air Corps. They were devoted to each other for 64 years. They resided in Jackson, MS, mid- city New Orleans, LA, Metairie, LA and finally retired to Covington, LA. The most devastating day of Billie’s life was in August of 1968 when she learned of the death of her only son, Ronald Warren Kempff, a Naval Hospital Corpsman in Vietnam. Only her faith and trust in our Lord sustained her. Billie will be greatly missed by her daughters Diane K. Blaylock (husband Russell) and Michelle K. Doussan (husband Herman), her grandchildren Ron L. Blaylock (wife Lindsay), Damien R. Blaylock, Kori C. Lutenbacher, Abbie M. Lutenbacher and her great-grandchildren Gabriel W. Blaylock, Declan D. Blaylock, Susanna A. Blaylock, Finnian J. Blaylock and her sister Jessie Faye Chapman of Meridian, MS.
