Born, Sunday, September 29, 1935 in Metairie, LA to Samuel Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Bitterwolf. Survived by his wife of 52 years to Sandra Oubre Bitterwolf, son - Mark Joseph Bitterwolf (Anne), daughters- Lynn Ward (Brent), and Pam Brechtel, granddaughter - Sophia Brechtel, grandsons Hunter Ward, Grant Ward, Beren Brechtel, Bennet Brechtel, Thomas Bitterwolf, and Daniel Bitterwolf, nephew - David Jacques Smith and mother-in-law Elma Oubre. He was predeceased by his father - Samuel Joseph Bitterwolf, mother - Mary Elizabeth Bitterwolf, sister - Rosemary Smith, son-in-law - Barry Brechtel, and father-in-law Fernand Oubre. GB was a graduate of St. Paul’s School, and Southeastern La University. He was the founder of Uniforms by Bayou, parishioner and Eucharistic Minister of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, member of the Knights of Columbus and the Monday Night Disciples. He was a regular retreatant of Manresa Retreat House and a devoted Adorer of the Holy Eucharist at St. Peter’s Adoration Chapel. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather who will be missed by many. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at St. Paul’s School - Our Lady of Peace Chapel, 917 S. Jahncke Ave., Covington, LA 70433 at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 03, 2016. Visitation, at St. Paul’s School - Our Lady of Peace Chapel from 10:00 AM to service time. Interment will be private in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s School Annual Fund. ===================
