Marietta LaCroix Williams Griffin left us peacefully on Friday, November 18, 
2016.

Born in Covington, Marietta was a resident of Baton Rouge and Picayune, MS 
before returning to Covington over 30 years ago. At 75 years young, Marietta 
worked with Mr. Bill Jones at Jones Fussell, LLP and was also very active with 
friends and neighbors in her Home Owners Association, where she served as an 
invaluable officer. 

Loving Mother of Kevin Williams (Angela) and Kimberly Griffin Fauntleroy 
(Kenny) and Sister of Sylvia LaCroix Appe (Gerald) and Lester Louis LaCroix, 
Jr. (Glenda), Marietta was a doting Grammy to a very special Granddaughter, 
Miss Kayla Williams. As an Aunt, Marietta was affectionately known as "Nanny" 
to her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Preceded in death by 
her parents Valentine "Vallie" Ploger LaCroix and Lester Louis "Pete" LaCroix, 
Sr.

Marietta, with her love and laughter, will be missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in celebrating Marietta's 
life at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on 
Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 2:30 PM until 4:30 PM.

Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Marietta to be 
made to Heavenly Dog Paws Sanctuary of Folsom where her Granddaughter 
volunteers weekly.
