Dale Deatherage Hawkins, age 94 died on Saturday, November 19, 2016, in 
Houston, TX.

Born, Tuesday, October 17, 1922 in Corinth, MS to Anderson N. Deatherage and 
Louise Miller.

Survived by her Niece – Peggy Rehm Swords, Nephew - Randy Rehm, Grand-Niece - 
Kelly Fielding Swords.

She was predeceased by her Husband - Edward W. Hawkins, Jr., Sister - Louise D. 
Miller, Father - Anderson N. Deatherage, and Mother - Louise Miller.

Dale was a renowned interior designer in New Orleans, having created Dale 
Hawkins Designs on Iberville St. and a longtime member of St. Frances Cabrini 
Parish. Dale and Ed retired to Beau Chene in Mandeville where she became active 
in Mary Queen of Peace Parish. She later moved to Houston, TX to be near her 
niece, nephew, and grand-niece.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at 11:00 AM on Friday, 
November 25, 2016 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue 
Covington, LA 70433.

Visitation on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at E. J. 
Fielding Funeral Home. 

Interment in Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
