Narcisse, 57, was called home Saturday morning, November 14, 2016 after a two and a half year battle with breast cancer. She was born December 13, 1958 to George and Deloris Pichon and was a lifelong resident of Lacombe, La. Kay (or Ms. Narcisse, as many would call her) will be remembered for the strength, determination, faith and love she displayed not only through her illness, but throughout her entire life. Early on, her mother had her recognize the importance of education. In turn, she devoted herself to impresings the importance of education upon her students. She felt strongly about keeping kids on the right track through life. As many of her students (and non-students) can tell you, she did not stop being your teacher just because school was over or just because you weren’t in her class any longer. Teaching was more than her job, it was her calling. Family, friends, neighbors and even other teachers often came to her for advice. She never tired of teaching and helping others find their inner strength. Just as Kay loved teaching and her community, she also loved the casino, her computer games, hamburgers, TVLand, reading and just being home. She also cherished her faith and her family. Kay leaves behind her two children, Liana and Gerrin (Naomi) Narcisse both of Lacombe, La. A grandson, Gabriel “Gabe John”. Her mother, Deloris Pichon; four sisters, Linda (Donnie), Mathelyn, Margie, and India (Darren); four brothers, Nurmi, Hersey (Christine), George (Gloria), and Brian (Kathy); and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Nathan Channing Pichon; her father George Pichon; her husband, Gerold “Poonie” Narcisse and significant other, Nathaniel “Samson” Ricks. During her years on this earth, her life touched countless others. In her death, her spirit will continue to guide us and help us to help others to live their best lives. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 28088 Main St, in Lacombe, Lousiana, on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 11:00am. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday, beginning at 9:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Samaritan Center in Mandeville, Louisiana. ===================
