Matthew Earle Provensal passed away on November 25, 2016 at the age of 32.   

He was born in New Orleans to Ronald Gilbert and Cindy Nash Provensal.  

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Louis Jim Nash and Earle 
Provensal, his grandmother, Mary Lou Provensal, his uncle, Ricky Provensal and 
his cousin Terri Lynn Breland.  

He is survived by his sister Sandra Provensal Gillespie (Gilly) and his 
brother, Mitchell James Provensal, his grandmother, Betty C. Hyden, his step-
grandmother, Odette G. Nash, his aunts and uncles, Dolly “Nanny” Nash Samuel, 
Jamie Caraher (Mike), Blake L. Nash (Anne), Roland Provensal (Bootsie), Robert 
Provensal (Bonnie), Randy Provensal (Eileen), Sandra Provensal and Melanie 
Schunneman.  His is also survived by many cousins.  

Known to his friends as “SHAGGY”, he graduated from Grace King High School in 
2002, where he lettered in baseball.  In 2007 he graduated from Utah College of 
Massage Therapy.  

Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Matthew’s life on Saturday, 
December 3, 2016, at North Shore Beach Firehouse, North Shore Beach 
Subdivision, 267 Debbie Dr Slidell, LA 70458 starting at 3:00p.m.
