Lena Mae Romano Richard passed away at her home on Tuesday evening on November 
29, 2016 at the age of 79 in Abita Springs, LA. 

She was a native of New Orleans, LA., lived in Metairie, LA., for 20 years, and 
has been a resident of Abita Springs for the last 16 years. 
Lena was a member, 2nd Vice President, Treasurer, part of the Ways & Means 
Committee and part of the Hospitality Committee for Northlake Newcomers Club, 
Hand & Foot Canasta Club Chairperson and actively involved with her friends 
from Incarnate Word School. 

She was the loving wife of 59 years to the late Lionel J. Richard. Devoted 
mother of Lori Richard Walker and husband Herman, Dr. Lionel J. Richard, Jr., 
and wife Nancy, Leslie Richard Cantelli, and husband Mark and Lance M. Richard 
and wife Diane. Loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren, Dr. McCall, Victoria, 
Kayla, Eric, Emily and Elyssa. Sister of Mary Carmel Romano Kagan.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of 
Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave, Covington, LA 
70433 on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. 

Inurnment will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Covington, LA. 

Attendance at church from 11:00 a.m. until mass time.
