Weho was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents - the late Genevieve and Chester Oliver. He is survived by three brothers-Danny, Donald, and Walter. Weho was a Lieutenant in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He served 2 years and earned 8 medals of service, including the Bronze Star with Combat Valor, Republic of Vietnam Service, an Army Commendation with Combat Valor, National Defense, & Good Conduct. He was a brave and loyal soldier as well as a faithful, loving husband, and father. He is grieved by his beloved Debora of 46 years and two daughters - Shawn Taylor (Dennis) 3 grandchildren-Christopher (Boog), Haleigh, and DJ; - Shannon Baker (John) 3 grandchildren-Maison, Gabby, and Kanyon. Weho had dedicated work ethics which included the laboring of more than 18 years at American Standard of New Orleans and retired from Thompson Meat Packers of Slidell. Weho was diagnosed with lung cancer in June 2014 and passed courageously in late January. Cancer cannot kill friendship. Proverbs 18:24 says, "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly; and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." It is also said "Don't measure a man by his money but rather by the amount of his friends." Weho loved hard. Whether his family, the Lord, or his friends. He will be greatly missed by a plethora of friends and especially his 'little brother from another mother - Jason'. Memorial Services will be officiated by Pastor Paul Ernewein on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 10:30 AM at THE VILLAGE CHURCH in Lacombe, LA. His final resting place will be at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on Grantham College Dr., in Slidell at 2:00 PM. Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, Covington, LA in charge of arrangements.
