Susanna Hooghiemstra Lazarre, age 90 of Covington, LA died on Monday, January 
09, 2017, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA.

Born, Thursday, June 10, 1926 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to Franciscus 
Hooghiemstra and Susanna Sophia Boersma.

Survived by her Step-Daughters - Katia Lazarre, Florence Lee Ordogne, Step Son 
- Serge Lazarre, and Nephews - Mark Lazarre, Al, Glenn and Steve Davis, Adrian 
Ordogne and Hubert Van Hecke, and numerous others in the Netherlands and United 
States.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolla Adrian Lazarre, her father - 
Franciscus Hooghiemstra, and Mother - Susanna Sophia Boersma Hooghiemstra.

She was proud to become a U.S. citizen in 1983. She has a great joie de vivre, 
was fluent in four languages and was a great friend to many in the Covington 
area.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at E. J. 
Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday 
January 28, 2017, at 2:00 PM. Visitation on January 28, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 
service time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
