Bernice Mchenry, 91, of Slidell, LA, passed from this earthly body to the 
wonderful presence of the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2017.

She was preceded in death by granddaughter: Patricia Dungan. 
Beloved wife of the late Claude D. McHenry; Mother of Evelyn Stanton, Carl 
McHenry (Sondra), Larry McHenry (Gwen), Betty Standifer (Dan); Daughter of the 
late Arthur and Mattie Lambeth; Sister of Arthur M. Lambeth Jr., and the late 
Rufus Lambeth, Charles Lambeth, William Lambeth, Gladys Brunson, and Alice Ree 
Lee;
Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-
grandchildren.

A native of Escambia County, Alabama, and a resident of Slidell, Louisiana 
since 1963, she was a member of Pearl Acres Missionary Baptist Church in 
Slidell.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Funeral Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST 
(IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11:00 
A.M.

Interment will be in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Friday after 
10:00 A.M. until funeral time.

What she once knew by faith, she now knows by sight.
