Brenda Cooper Vercher, 67, passed away on January 7, 2017 at Slidell Memorial 
Hospital in Slidell, La. 

Daughter of the late Robert and Gayle Edwards Cooper.

Brenda is survived by her daughters Kimberly Michele McDonald of West Palm 
Beach, FL., Heather McDonald (William) Bourg of Slidell, LA and Kathryn Ann 
Vercher of New Orleans, LA; her brother Larry (Debby) Cooper of Pearl River, 
LA, her sister Cherry (Rick) Martin of Louisa, KY; grandchildren Alexis Nicole 
“Lexie” Frost, Kayleigh Michelle Bourg and Jordan Ashley Bourg; great-grandson 
Leland Christopher Bourg; and her devoted mother-in-law and father-in-law 
Bernell and Julia Vercher of Metairie, LA.

Brenda was a graduate of Slidell High School Class of 1967.  In 1976 she began 
working for the State of Louisiana and retired in 2014.

She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Slidell.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service 
at First Baptist Church 4141 Pontchartrain Dr., Slidell, La., on Saturday, 
January 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm.

A visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 noon until service time.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the 
charity of your choice, preferred.
