Beloved husband of Beckie McEvoy Adams. Loving father of Christopher Adams (Teresa), Benjamin Adams (Laurel) and Timothy Adams (Randi). Son of the late Catherine Guilbault Adams and Merle John Adams. Brother of William Adams (Becky), Michael Adams, Merle Adams Truitt (Ken) and the late Edward Adams. Grandfather (Poppy) of Lillian, Connor, Malachi, Adelle, Parker, Sabina and Titus Adams. Ron was born in New York, moving to New Orleans at a young age. He grew up in Lake Terrace, attending JFK High School where he played football and ran track, graduating in 1972. He moved to Mandeville in 1978. He was a long time 4th Ward Soccer coach and a religious education teacher at O.L.L. He was a 4th° member of the O.L.L. Knights of Columbus. Ron worked for Chemsearch for 23+ years making many friends along the way. The family would like to thank Dr. Bizette and his staff for their wonderful care for the past 13 years, the staff at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, the many doctors that cared for him, and Passages Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA 70448 on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 12:00 noon. There will be a visitation at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with visitation at church on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Abita Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Adams to be made to the Cell and Gene Therapy Center, Houston Methodist Hospital Center for cell and gene therapy at Methodist hospital, 6565 Fannin St. M964, Houston TX, 77030. ===================
