Born, May 02, 1933 in New Orleans, LA to Joseph and Jessie Baricev. Survived by his wife Geraldine Doyle Baricev, daughters Janet Adolphson (Fred) and Susan Donnelly (Sonny), son Michael Baricev (Barbara), and six grandsons - Brendan Donnelly (Kathleen), Patrick Donnelly (Camille), Kevin Donnelly, Peter Baricev, Robert Baricev, John Baricev, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and his two brothers Joseph and Robert Baricev, all of Biloxi, MS. Victor was a 1956 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served on the USS Corregidor and the USS DeSoto County. After leaving the Navy, he was employed by Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS, subsequently working at Avondale Shipyards in New Orleans, retiring after 20 years as Vice President of Contracts and Procurement. After retiring, he and Gerry moved to Mandeville, LA where he pursued his love of sailing, golf, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 02, 2017 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Thursday, March 02, 2017 from 12:00 noon to service time. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s School in Covington, the Samaritan Center in Mandeville, and the Wounded Warrior Project. US Navy ===================
