Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2017/st1702.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Lonnie Wallace Burgess Sr., A native of Jefferson Parish for 34 years and a resident of St. Tammany Parish for the past 25 years passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital due to a pulmonary embolism. He was born in New Orleans, LA. He was 59 years of age. Reputable and respected in the automobile industry for his 30+ years of Mastery ASE Certified knowledge particularly in the field of transmission rebuilding and general repair, he secured his journeyman plumbing license in 2014. Over the last several years, he joined the Ware Brothers Construction, 2M Services, and Pontchartrain Mechanical Company families to work on numerous projects throughout Louisiana. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 39 years, Patricia Walker Burgess; daughter, Kristy Lynn Burgess; son, Lonnie Wallace Burgess Jr. and wife, Nicole Primes Burgess; 2 grandchildren, Lonnie “Trey” Wallace Burgess III and Waylon James Burgess; 2 brothers, Christopher Randolph Burgess Sr. and wife Vicki Tamburello Burgess, and Edward Walter Burgess III; 2 nieces, Mandi Elizabeth Burgess-Johnson and husband Paul Douglas Johnson, and Domenica Marie Burgess; 2 nephews, Christopher Randolph Burgess Jr. and Edward Walter Burgess IV. Proceeded in passing by his mother, Martha Eskine Burgess-Serpas; father, Edward Walter Burgess; brother, Brian Michael Burgess. A gathering of friends and family will take place at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home located at 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435 from 10 a.m. through 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017, followed by a memorial service at the same location conducted by Pastor Roderick Anthony Deflanders of Morning Star Baptist Church in Bay Saint Louis.
