She was born on November 17, 1923 and was a lifelong resident of Covington, Louisiana. Beloved wife of the late John Everett Drinkard. Loving mother of Ellen D. Koepp (Richard), Kathy D. Toney (Billy), Karen D. Singletary (Ray), John E. “Jed” Drinkard, Jr. (Teri), Mark S. Drinkard (Kim), Janice D. Loup (Tommy), David E. Drinkard (Dwana) and the late Cheryl D. “Dinky” Smith (Allie). Mrs. Drinkard was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ethel Wagner Davies Cooper; sister of Philip R. “Bobby” Cooper, Norma C. Blossman and the late Emelia D. McLain, Henry Davies, Emile P. Davies, Ernest J. Cooper and Roy L. Cooper. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Drinkard was an active member of the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Guild, St. Peter Catholic Church Altar Society, Covington Lions Club, Kaycettes and the American Red Cross. She was also a member of the Cinderella Card Club for over 50 years. She worked for many years at Talley’s Feed and Seed Store and retired from USS Agri-Chemicals. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM with visitation at church on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Drinkard to be made to the St. Tammany Hospital Guild Scholarship Fund ===================
