She was born on May 29, 1937 in Price, Utah to Henry Edward Draper and Mae Kirkland. She grew up in Carbon County, Utah. She was a nurse and worked in the Carbon County Hospital. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from BYU, and taught 5th grade for many years at Durrant Elementary in Price, Utah, and Liberty Elementary in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Dr. James Allison Marchand on February 6, 1976 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were married for 41 years. She showed her love for people in many ways, always offering her unconditional help. She was President of the Salt Lake County, Utah Women’s Medical Auxiliary, as well as President of the Salt Lake Council of Women for several years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She served as a Primary President, Relief Society President, and served for 2+ years as a missionary on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. She shared her love for others in many ways, but cooking was her favorite. She will be remembered for her passion of cooking, whether as simple as a sandwich or as elaborate as a Thanksgiving feast, her cooking always brought family and friends together. She always remembered the little things. Eilene was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Henry Draper, Jr., Thomas Draper, and Richard Draper. She is survived by her husband, James A. Marchand, Mandeville, LA and her 3 children,Robbyn Val Roberts (Casey), Crescent City, CA; Claudia Bowles (Bruce), Herriman, UT; Ralph G. Mitchell, Jr., Joe’s Valley UT; and 4 step-children, James A. Marchand, Jr. (Phyllis), Covington, LA; Jeanne Dailey (Scott), Sandy, UT; Greg Marchand(Sarah), Scottsdale, AZ; and Lisa Lamoreaux (Greg), Riverton, UT. She has 13 grandchildren and 10 great grand children. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 04, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2638 W 15th Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Saturday, March 04, 2017 from 10:00 AM to service time. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery Prairieville , LA. ===================
