 August Nunez, age 89 years, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dolores Nunez .
Father of Jackie Nunez, Paula N. Brunetti(Bill), Jody Nunez(Gay) and the late Ashley Nunez.
Son of the late Leon Nunez, Sr. and Agnes Nunez.
Brother of Donald Nunez(Jeanette), Agnes N. Licciardi(Dominick), Leona Prats, Nelson Nunez(Janell) and the late Leon Nunez,Jr.(Muriel).
Grandfather of Angel Kehoe, Martin Kehoe(Chrissy), Jason Smith(Emily), Erica Wolfe(Brandon), Marissa Nunez, Justin Nunez, Damien Nunez and Jeremy Nunez(Shanna), 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

He was a WWII Veteran and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

He worked for J.A. Jones Construction for 40 years before retiring.

August was an avid fisherman and an outdoorsman.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral
Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment in Southeast La. Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation on Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Masses preferred, in lieu of flowers.
