Lawrence Phillip “L.P.” Ostendorf passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 
the age of 88. 

Beloved husband of Elsie Catherine Goldate Ostendorf. Loving father of Tracy 
Anne Ostendorf Davis. Father-in-law of Brian Eric Davis. Son of the late 
Georgia Barnett Ostendorf and John Henry Ostendorf. Brother of the late Marvel 
Ostendorf, John H. Ostendorf and Lloyd C. Ostendorf. Grandfather of Johnathan 
Phillip Holder ( his wife, Ginger), Brandon Eric Davis, Kaitlyn Alyssa Davis 
and Brett Taylor Davis. Great-grandfather of Malayna Renee’ Holder and Rhett 
Alexander Holder.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Anselm 
Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary St., Madisonville, LA 70447 on Monday, February 
20, 2017 at 12:00 noon. There will be a wake at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 
2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Sunday evening, February 19, 2017 
from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at St. Anselm Catholic Church on Monday from 
10:00 AM until noon. 

Interment will follow in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Ostendorf to 
be made to the American Cancer Society.
