Beloved wife of the late Joseph Maurice Artigue. Loving mother of Gail Murray and her late husband Jim, Linda Buday and husband Ernie, Jeanette Burns and husband David, Reba Herty and husband Floyd, Warren Artigue and wife Mary, Dawn Davezac and husband Tim. She was preceded in death by her parents, Remi and Eleanor Olivier Meche. Sister of Gladys Kahl, Beverly Lagrange, Lean Sibley, Larry Meche, the late Bradley Meche, John “Free” Meche and Marvin Meche. Grandmother of Colette M. Zawisza (Stan), Melissa M. Osborne (Jeff), Theri M. Isaacs (Steve), David Burns, Ernie Buday (Kelly), James “Shorty” Murray (Rhonda), Kristina B. Holden (Clayton), Jody Buday (Courtney), Mandy B. Berman (Brian), Jessica H. Orillion (Jeff), Trey Herty, Ryne, Allie and Jacob Artigue. Great-grandmother of Emily and Olivia Thomas, Abby, Nicholas and Sarah Osborne, Bennett and Samantha Buday, Jimmy Murray, Railee Scott, Kathryn Buday, Isabella and Brady Berman, Evan, Emma, Luke and Logan Orillion. Mrs. Artigue was a native of Arnaudville, LA and a longtime resident of Chalmette, LA where she was an employee of the St. Bernard Parish School System. She has resided in Niceville, FL since Hurricane Katrina. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Road, Chalmette, LA 70043 on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM with visitation at church on Monday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Artigue can be made to the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center at www.eowilsoncenter.org. E.J.
