On Tuesday, March 21, 2017, Melissa Gaff Howell went to be with the Lord. She 
was 44 years old.

Melissa was a past resident of Pearl River, La. And resided in Baton Rouge for 
the last several years. She was a dental assistant while working to acquire her 
degree to be a Dental Hygienist

She is survived by her husband, James Howell, children, James Evan Howell, Leah 
Morgan Howell and Gabriel Thomas Howell, dad, Larry & his wife, Debra Gaff, and 
her mother, the late Margaret Walker, siblings, Larry Cox, Tiffany Allen, Angel 
Davis, Sharmon Mauffray and the late Eric Matthew Loveless, 3 grandchildren, 
James Evan Howell, Jr., (Jamie), Bralynn Thomas Howell and Caleb Ray Howell and 
her grandparents, Malvena Gaff and the late William “Buddy” Walker, Ethel 
Walker Clark and Thomas S. Gaff. Melissa is also survived by a host of aunts, 
uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend her going home service on Friday, 
March 24, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Lifes Tabernacle 9323 Hooper Rd, Baton Rouge, La., 
with visitation from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM. 

Refreshments will be served following the service on Friday at Voice of 
Pentecost Church, 14754 Frenchtown Rd., Central Baton Rouge, La. 

Committal service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at New Palestine 
Cemetery, 2500 Palestine Rd, Picayune, Ms. At 10:00 AM.
