She was preceded in death by her parents: Dean and Jessie Foard; one daughter: Anita Stringer; and one brother: Tommy Stophel. LouAnn was a kind and beloved spirit with a love of antiquing. She had a diversified career, including being a well known Antique Dealer in Mississippi and Louisiana. She was a past president of the Antique Association, past president of the Womens Auxiliary Post 374 and Queen of Mardi Gras, in 1996, for the Krewe of Dominique. The dress she designed, made, and wore as Queen is still on display on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. LouAnn attended Central Piedmont Community College and earned her degree in Accounting. Prior to her antique business, she worked as a tax accountant for H&R Block. LouAnn also worked for Columbia Pictures. She was devoted to her family so the entire clan was always invited to the early screenings. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Funeral Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 10:00am. LuLu was a great patriot, as is Chet. For this reason, Biloxi National Cemetery is their choice for her final resting place.
