She was born September 3, 1930 in Stamps, AR to Ola Orr and Shelley Maurice Powell and was a resident of New Orleans for many years before moving to Mandeville in 1995. Her inspiration and boundless sense of humor will be missed by many. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, she is survived by three children – Michael LeGardeur Sr. married to Phyllis Powell LeGardeur, Shelley LeGardeur Kellum married to Tom Kellum, and Deborah LeGardeur Tunstall married to Todd Bard Tunstall; seven grandchildren - Scott LeGardeur, Michael LeGardeur Jr., Douglas Keith Holaday, Mimi Holaday, Tinsley Kellum Giese married to John David Giese, Patton Todd Tunstall married to Elise Hatheway Tunstall, and Claire Renee Tunstall ; one great-grandchild Kayla Renee Holaday; and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Shelley Rodney Powell, her sister Barbara Powell Nation, one daughter - Susan LeGardeur Holaday, and one grandson - Michael John Holaday. A very special thanks to Darlene Storey of Kiln, MS for her ever gentle and unwavering quality of care she and her staff provided for Norma during the last 8 months of her life. Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
