Michaud, 86, passed away at home on Wednesday March 8, 2017 in Covington, Louisiana after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in October 1930 to the late Felix and Cecilia Michaud in Lake Linden, Michigan. He began his career in the United States Air Force, and served his country for 23 years, earning many commendations for his work, retiring from the 926th FW, Belle Chasse, LA. Mike retired from General Electric Medical Systems after working 26 years as a Biomedical Electronic Engineer in Metairie, LA. Mike had 4 sisters, Marion & Andrew Kuffel, Rosalie & (Dave Hurley – deceased), Shirley & (William Stammer – deceased), Sharon & Keith Watermolen, 8 children, Michael, Karen, Diane, Mark from first wife Barbara Amos, and Stefani, Tami, Kerry & (Kristi - deceased) from his wife of 54 years, Stella Elliston Michaud. 9 grandchildren, Bradley, (Blake – deceased), Vanessa, Salvatore, Jessica, Aaron, Drew, Jessie, Pete, and 7 great-grandchildren. The Family would like to express their gratitude to the LA. Hospice Palliative Care, for helping him in his final days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service to celebrate his life on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd., Covington, LA 70345. Visitation from 9:30 AM until service time. Military Honors and Interment will follow at 1:00 PM in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, Louisiana.
