Shirley Louise Ruckert entered into eternal rest on March 6, 2017 at the age of 
80. 
A native of New Orleans and a resident of Christwood Retirement Community in 
Covington, Louisiana.

Shirley is survived by her beloved sister and best friend, Marlene Ruckert. She 
was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph Ruckert and Louise Schipplein 
Ruckert. Shirley is also survived by a host of dear cousins and friends.

Shirley graduated from Jefferson High School and Tulane University. As an 
accountant, she was employed by Entergy for many years. Her hobbies included 
duplicate bridge, water aerobics and caring for a pet yorkie “Gi Gi”.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Prayer and Remembrance service in 
the Garden Room at Christwood, 100 Christwood Blvd., Covington, LA 70433 on 
Saturday, March 18th at 1:30 pm with refreshments to follow. 
The service will be officiated by The Reverend Morgan MacIntire from Christ 
Episcopal Church. 

Interment will be private.
