A native of McAlister, OK, she was born on Wednesday, August 29, 1934 to Alice May Perry and Willis Samuel Banks and was a resident of the Covington/Mandeville area for over 20 years. Millie leaves behind her husband, wonderful father and devoted grandfather, Andrew Sonnier. He was her mentor, best friend and the love of her life. Her love was overwhelming for her grandchildren, “For I shall live within you forever” – Natalie M. Chosa, Carla A., Katie S. and Sam T. Chosa. They were the light of her life. Two sons survive her - Michael S. and Carl G. Chosa. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors to mourn her death and would like to be remembered as a thoughtful and generous wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, for she loved you so. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson – Mickey Chosa; seven brothers – Clifford, Leonard, Willis, Ted, Norman, Andrew and Carl Banks; and five sisters – Elsie, Grace and Beverly Banks, Mary Douglas, Elizabeth Floyd and Florence Gentile. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral services at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours on Saturday will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment in the mausoleum at the Mandeville Cemetery will immediately follow services. In lieu of flowers donations, may be made to the Louisiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, ===================
