Dorothy "Dottie" Walker Barnes, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 30, 2017 
at the age of 80. 

Wife of Louis Barnes (deceased) and survived by her three children: Marie 
Aldana (Julius), David Lynch, and Denise Deason (Dave). Sister of Larry Walker 
(deceased) Mary Ann Phelan, Connie Prather, Fritz Walker, and Linda Haymon. 
Grandmother to Michael Aldana, Jeanne Konopnicki, Amber Davis, Jarod Aldana, 
and Madeline Aldana and 9 great grandchildren. Daughter of Aquila and 
Marguerite Walker, 
born on August 3, 1936 in New Orleans, La. A resident of Slidell, LA for the 
past 40 years. She lived her days in dedication to her loving husband, children 
and great grandchildren. Dottie was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and 
most recently returned back to the church of her youth, St. Genevieve Catholic 
Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. 
Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 LA-433, Slidell, La 70460 on Friday May 5, 
2017 from 10- 12 noon followed by funeral mass at 12pm. 

She will be laid to rest at Honaker's Forest Lawn Cemetery
