Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2017/st1704.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Randolph “Randy” Mitchell Bauer, 73, died at Slidell Memorial Hospital on April 11th, 2017 in Slidell, LA, after a long battle with cancer. He leaves behind his daughters, Melissa Liverett and Vanessa Burst; and his son, Brandon Bauer. Mr. Bauer was born in New Orleans, LA on January 26th, 1944, to Rudolph and Joyce Porretto Bauer. He graduated from De La Salle High School, class of 1962. He served in the United States Army before gaining his Radiologic Technologist certification in 1964 from Charity Hospital of New Orleans, helping many patients in the greater area until his retirement in 2009. Mr. Bauer was a charter member of the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologist. Mr. Bauer was first married to Tyra Fitzmorris, with whom he had his three children. Mr. Bauer was then married to Marilyn Lambert. Randy was a pilot and an aviation enthusiast. He obtained his private pilot certificate on January 3rd, 1998. He enjoyed working in his garden at his home in Slidell, LA. Randy is survived by his three children, his two son-in-law’s, and four grandchildren – Nina Liverett; Jude, Sadie, and Chloe Burst; as well as his brothers, Rudolph, Craig, and Keith Bauer; his sisters, Mary Bacon and Donna Ralidis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 3:00 P.M.
