Neil Anthony Benoit, 87 of Mandeville, LA died on Sunday, April 23, 2017. 

Born, Tuesday, July 02, 1929 in New Orleans, LA to Acneal Anthony Benoit and 
Anna Mae Bergeron Benoit. Grandson of Esma Bergeron and Sidney Bergeron of Big 
Branch, LA.

He retired from Avondale Shipyards after 23 years. He was an avid fisherman, 
bowler, duck hunter and scuba diver.

Married to Iris Ann Koppenol Benoit of Madisonville for 52 years in August. He 
has three daughters; Renee Rochelle Taylor (Darryl) of Mandeville, LA, Sherry 
Benoit Wells (David) of Locust Grove, VA, and Andrea Ann Phillips (Kevin) of 
Abita Springs, LA. 
He has nine grandchildren; Zachary, Jacob, Dalton, Sarah, Matthew, Katie, 
Camille, Porter and Amryn. He was expecting his first great grandchild on his 
birthday of July 2. 
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on 
Thursday, April 27, 2017 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue 
Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Thursday from 9:00 AM to service time.

Interment in Koppenol Family Cemetery, Madisonville, LA.
