Jacob John Coutrado passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at St. Tammany 
Parish Hospital. 

A native of New Orleans, he was born on Tuesday, December 29, 1942 to Helen Una 
Fried and Jacob Joseph Coutrado. Jake lived in Covington for nearly 45 years, 
and for most of that time he owned and operated a mechanic and body shop in the 
middle of downtown.

The beloved husband of Barbara Finney Coutrado, he is survived by one daughter 
- Lindsay Coutrado VanAs (W. Robert); his only son - John L. Coutrado (Claire); 
mother - Helen Una Fried Coutrado; one sister - Patricia C. Shea; and six 
grandchildren - Jacob, Hayden and Cooper Coutrado, Brooke, Bailey and Braelyn 
VanAs. 

His father preceded him in death.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 12:00 Noon on 
Thursday, April 13, 2017 on the campus of St. Paul High School at Our Lady of 
Peace Chapel, 917 S. Jahncke Ave. Covington, LA 70433.

Visiting hours at the school's Chapel on Thursday will begin at 10:00 AM.

Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will immediately 
follow the funeral service.
