Josephine Gunnells, 81, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017, 
in Lacombe.

Beloved wife of the late Jay T. Gunnells Jr.;
Mother of Sheila Smith (Steven), Mary G. Thomas, Mona Gunnells, Betty Jo Cheek 
(Davis), Valerie Epnett (Curtis), and Shannon Boelter (Doug);
Daughter of the late George and Virginia Winterstein;
Sister of the late Isabella Feger, Wesley Winterstein, Ralph Winterstein;
Also survived by ten grandchildren, Jason, Sara, Ryan, Tara, Degan, Caleb, 
Kellie, Shayne, Chelsea and Jacob; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, and a resident of Slidell for the past fifty 
years. A former member of Pearl Acres Baptist Church.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral
Funeral Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN 
CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 9:00am.

Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Cemetery.
