Beloved wife of 59 years to the late Stephen Montgomery Hinman. Carol is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth and Alice (Jon); sons, Michael (Lisa) and David (Sharon); sister, Janet Moberg; grandchildren, Crystal (Emily), Melissa (Roy), Philip, Shawn (Victoria), Lindsay, Clare, Kaeley, Carly, Tristan, Michael and Ian; great-grandchildren, Aliya, Laken, Brody, Caden, Kyler and Hayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter M. Schmitz and Irene White Schmitz and her brother, Peter M. Schmitz. Carol was very proud of helping her husband finish college at University of North Dakota. She was the Insurance Coordinator for Tulane Medical School. She served as an officer of the local WBCCI Airstream Club unit. They traveled extensively throughout the United States. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Friday beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Hinman to be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, 1203 S Tyler St # 100, Covington, LA 70433-2353 (www.marybird.org). The family would like to thank Dr. Saux, Lisa Hinman of My Hospice and Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer Center for their care. ===================
