Enola "Dookie" was born January 3, 1933 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Earl and Enola Spindel. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years Adam Edwin Naquin Jr., her brother, Al Spindel (Sylvia), and "sister," Ella O. Plaisance. Three children Debra N. Olson (Ken), David G. Naquin (Deborah), and Dee N. Simoneaux (Todd); grandchildren, Jennifer O. Grilletta (Sean), Timothy J. Olson (Lauren), Gerard M. Naquin (Lori), Olivia A. Simoneaux, Mary S. Egan (Patrick), Rose A. Simoneaux, Lauren E. Naquin, Ethan M. Naquin, and Elizabeth "Bess" A. Simoneaux. Great-grandchildren Addison "Addie", Shelby, Sebastian, Gage, Aria, Finnan, and Margaret "Mae." She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved brothers E.J. Spindel (Liz), and Richard "Red" (Ann), daughter Adrienne Marie, and grandson Jeffrey Michael. A native of New Orleans, LA and Bay St. Louis, MS and a resident of Covington, LA since Katrina. "Dookie" graduated from Sacred Heart High School and attended St. Mary's Dominican College. Her career as a Dental Assistant included Loyola University, LSU Dental School and private practice. She loved to cook, garden, and was an awesome scrabble player. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society and contributed to the Paralyzed American Vets, St. Jude and various Catholic Charities. Her greatest accomplishment was tending to her husband, diligently, on her own. Funeral service will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with Mass at 11:00 A.M. Internment will follow at Metairie Cemetery. She loved flowers. ===================
