Sherren Porche Farrell passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at her home in Kenner at the age of 67. 

Sherren worked for over 30 years with Nativity of Our Lord, St. Vincent DePaul Society and Divine Mercy Catholic Churches, Ministry of the Needy. Recipient of the Order of St. Louis Medallion. Devoted wife of Glenn Farrell for 47 years. 

Loving mother of Glenn (Shelia) and Brad Farrell. Grandmother of Tyler, Shelby, Chase and Macie. Sister of Sheila P. Trauth (Lenny), Renay Porche (Rick) and Randy Porche (Theresa). Sister-in-law to Don and Hannelore Farrell. Godmother to Shane Olsen and Austin Ferrill. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by numerous loving cousins and dear friends. 

In lieu of flowers, masses preferred or donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriners Children Hospital or Ministry of the Needy at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Delores, Joann and the social worker at Egan Hospice for their loving care and support during Sherren’s illness.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Pkwy, Kenner, Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 12:00 noon. Visitation at the church from 10:00 am until Mass begins. 

Interment immediately following at St. Frances de Sales Cemetery #1 in Houma, LA.
