Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2017/st1705.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Hilda Rita Ruiz Najt, at the age of 94, passed away peacefully in her New Orleans home on Sunday morning, May 7, 2017 with loved ones by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles John Najt of Superior, Wisconsin and loving mother to three daughters Beverly Najt, Sharon Sire (William), and Susan Sharpe. Born on December 10, 1922 in Reggio (St. Bernard Parish), Hilda was the daughter of the late Eva Melerine Ruiz and Faustino Ruiz. She was later a longtime resident of Algiers, Louisiana and enjoyed her retirement years in Folsom, Louisiana before returning to New Orleans. Hilda was an involved sister, mother, and grandmother, loved by all her family and many friends. She will be remembered for her wit, her spirit, and her selfless devotion to her family. She is survived by sister, Aline Woessner (Herman), her three daughters, many nieces and nephews, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, with 2 great grandsons on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Carolyn Schoegel (Henry), Shirley Labayen (Segundo), and Doris Gonzales (Paul). Since 1960, Hilda was an active charter member of Woodland Presbyterian Church in Algiers where memorial services will be held. Relatives and friends are invited to attend on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with a gathering to follow. The address for Woodland Presbyterian Church is 5824 Berkley Dr., New Orleans, LA 70131 Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Najt to be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. ===================
