Leona Brouillette Rabalais, age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon,
May 9, 2017. 

Beloved wife of the late James “Rab” Harding Rabalais, Sr. for 52 years. Loving
mother of Jeanne R. Treuil, (Steve), James H. Rabalais, Jr., (Rosanna), and
Steven P. Rabalais. Daughter of the late Elma Aucoin and Robert Brouillette.
Sister of Earl Brouillette and the late Roland, Hudson, Joyce, Clarence
Brouillette and Pearl B. Ponseti. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Kenneth Delgado (Donna),
Dana D. Patterson (Clint), and Angelle D. Dupré (Louis). 
Always bringing a smile to her face were her great grandchildren: Kristin 
Delgado, Dylan and Tristen Patterson, and Greyson and James Dupré. 

Leona was a woman of great faith, who enjoyed her card clubs, painting, 
bowling, gardening, sewing and crafting. Self-proclaimed “young at heart,”
the sound of music always had her dancing. 

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to those who
provided loving care throughout the years.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Our
Lady Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Road, Chalmette, LA., on
Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church
9:00 a.m. until Mass time. 

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leona’s name to LA Alzheimer’s
Association at www.alz.org/louisiana.
